• Investigate the utility of satellite-based observations in estimating storm-surge induced coastal water level using coastal hydrodynamic modeling
• Demonstrate the significance of applying data assimilation techniques in a storm surge model to simulate coastal water level in high spatial and temporal resolutions
• Explore the optimal setting for merging both nadir-only and wide-swath satellite-based altimetry data for operational and near real-time storm surge estimation

• Develop and test machine learning (ML) and physics-informed ML for the standards-based, model agnostic, Next Generation Water Resources Modeling Framework
